Swank has been a well-known name in men's jewelry since the early part of the 20th Century. Their cufflink sets range from the simple and classic to the very elaborate. After nearly 100 years, there is almost no end to the variety of designs and materials you will find.
This set consists of a tiny tie tack and cufflinks still in their original box. Each item features the Arc de Triomphe in France and is part of Swank's Arts of the World collection. The cut crystal cufflinks and tie tack are a lovely deep blue color. They are set into sterling silver mounts. The cufflinks use a toggle mechanism and are perfect for today's French cuffs. The tie tack has a pin back with clutch and a chain, which is under the inset. Please note, I couldn't remove the tie tack, without causing damage to the box, but I can hear the chain under the inset.
The face of each cufflink measures 3/4" by 3/4". The tie tack measures approximately 3/8" by 3/8" . The set is in a triangular shaped box marked Swank and has never been removed.
The cufflinks and tie tack appear to be in excellent condition since they have never been removed from the original box. The box shows some light soiling on the velvet cardboard inset. The box does not close completely because of possible damage to the hinge. I've pictures the opening in the box.
