Lisner was a well-known jewelry company established in 1904. Prior to the 1930's most of their jewelry was imported from Europe and sold wholesale. However, in the 1930's, the decided to build a domestic retail line. This dress clip probably dates from that period. I have never seen a rhinestone dress clip signed by Lisner.
This is a wonderful design carried out in a number of different colors. This abstract shield shape features red, blue, golden and clear rhinestones set in rhodium plated metal. While all the stones are present, it does appear that some stones are slightly darker than others, especially in the blues. This does not detract from the piece. The clip on the reverse is in good working order. The reverse does show a bit of wear. The clip is signed Lisner.
The clip measures 2" by 1-1/2".
