The graphic depicts a view at the sea with harvesters and a hunter at the foreground and the city at the back.
The actual etching is 6 x 4 inches (15,3 x 10 cm), the whole sheet 11,5 x 8 inches ( 29,4 x 20,2 cm. It is from app. Mid 19th century.
Some aging at the margins, water stain at the right margin not affecting the print.
It looks great when matted and framed.
Albert Henry Payne (born in London on December 14, 1812; died in Leipzig on May 7, 1902) was a steel engraver, painter and illustrator. He was English, but lived in Leipzig from 1839 onward.
