In 1829: Tsar of Russia Nicolas I devolved the palace and chattels of Skierniewice to Prince Constantine "The Great".

In 1845: Opening of the railway iron line Warsaw to Vienna and construction of the Tsar`s railway station in Moorish style, which is no longer existing.

1870: Tsar Alexander II devolves the chattels of Skierniewice to Prince Bariatyński.

1875: Construction of the railway station Warsaw to Vienna line, which still exists today.

1884: Convention in Skierniewice of the three emperors of the occupying countries: Alexander III, Wilhelm I and Francis Joseph I.

1915: During World War I, in the neighborhood of Skierniewice the poison gas phosgene is used for the first time.

1915-1918: Time of the German occupation of Skierniewice.
