Very decorative, authentic, Art Nouveau lithograph from the Studio Hofmann in Vienna.
The sheet ( thinner cardboard ) is 10,2 x 12 inches and shows 3 selected works of the “Atelier - C - Hofmann”, designs for a wall-paper producer, a carpet seller and a dealer for decorations.
Scarce and attractive lithograph from app. in very fine condition.
Josef Hoffmann (1870–1956) was a Austrian architect and designer of consumer goods.
Hofmann studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Karl Freiherr von Hasenauer and Otto Wagner, graduating with a Prix de Rome in 1895. In Wagner's office, he met Joseph Maria Olbrich, and together they founded the Vienna Secession in 1897 along with the artists Gustav Klimt, and Koloman Moser.
