Very decorative, authentic, Art Nouveau lithograph from the Studio Hofmann in Vienna.
The sheet ( thinner cardboard ) is 11,5 x 8,2 inches and shows 4 selected works of the “Atelier - C - Hofmann”, including a design for a honey producing company, the letter head for a cider producer, a book and arts-dealer.
Scarce and attractive lithograph in very fine condition. App. 1915. Scarce.
Josef Hoffmann (1870–1956) was a Austrian architect and designer of consumer goods.
He studied at the Academy of Fine Arts Vienna with Karl Freiherr von Hasenauer and Otto Wagner, graduating with a Prix de Rome in 1895. In Wagner's office, he met Joseph Maria Olbrich, and together they founded the Vienna Secession in 1897 along with artists Gustav Klimt, and Koloman Moser.
