Two attractive, colorful Indian Tantric paintings, ca. 90 to 100 years old.
Size: 20 x 26 cm. Good – very good condition.
First painting is of Hindu God Hanuman (Sanskrit: हनुमान्) referred as Ram bhakt and extensively discussed in Ramayana. The other one depicts Goddess Durga (Sanskrit: दुर्गा,).
The accompanying text is actually a traders account book, the language is called "mudiya" used by Rajadthan's trading community better known as " banias".
Left side few entries are for interest recovered. Amount mentioned in rupee and Annas which were use then. One rupee has 16 Anna. Single vertical line equals to four annas. Horizontal line equals to one Anna.
