Very attractive archaic Chinese flat Jade disc, a so called Bi.
Greenish jade disc in typical Han Dynasty style at both sides. It should be from Qing Dynasty. The jade is hand carved in delicately executed technique. It stands out when presented.
Diameter: 5.8 inches (14,5 cm), good condition.

The bi (Chinese: 璧; pinyin) is a type of circular ancient Chinese jade artifact. The earliest bi were produced in the Neolithic period, particularly by the Liangzhu culture (3400-2250 BC).Later examples date mainly from the Shang, Zhou and Han dynasties.
