Vintage Victorian Revival 14K Gold Diamond Cultured Pearl Drop Earrings Pierced Earrings
Dating to the 1980s or so, may I offer this wonderful pair of yellow gold earrings in a Victorian Revival "almost Etruscan" design. With a large teardrop shaped cultured pearl at the bottom, the top of each earring is fluted and holds 5 diamond accents. The earrings are for pierced ears and are posts but sadly, there are no nuts. Mind you, almost every lady hs her fair share of nuts in her jewelry box - after all you can only use one set at a time! Condition is perfect with no problems I can spot.
Metal Content is 14K Gold with a Hallmark of 14K on the posts.
Length is 1"; width is 3/8" at the pearl. Combined weight of the pair is 3.8 grams.
Diamonds: 5 to each earring top, round faceted gems - 3 are prong set, 2 are bezel set. The top 3 are accent stones only at 1 point each - the middle 2 are about 1-1/2 points each for a total weight of .06CT per earring = .12CT TW for the pair. Color is H-I and grading would be I1.
Cultured Pearl: Each pearl measures 11.5mm x 9mm. Nice orbs that are more white than cream. There is a very nice lustre and feel to the gems, any blemishes are at the back of the pearl rather than the front.
Final Comments: Gorgeous! Perfect for the new bride!
