Vintage Modernist 1960s 6mm Cultured Pearl Necklace with 14K White Gold Clasp
Dating to the retro era, circa 1960 or so, may I offer a very nice 6mm cultured pearl necklace ending in a white gold fish hook clasp. The pearls are definitely on the WHITE side with a very nice lustre to the orbs. The necklace is knotted only at the very back nearest the hook, the rest of the pearls move loosely along the cording. The pearls have a minimum of blemishes, sizing is uniform and overall, this is a very nice vintage necklace!
Condition: Very nice with a goodly coating of nacre to the rounds. A restringing is probably in order some time in the future - after all, the strand is old. Oh, and there's a bit of dust between some of the pearls - I haven't cleaned each pearl individually.
Metal Content: 14K Gold with a hallmark of 14KG on the fish hook
Size: Length of the necklace (including the clasp) is 15".
Weight: 17.7 grams
Final Comments: A nice starter necklace for the young lady who wants her first strand of pearls or for the bride.
