Antique Victorian Unused French Silver 800/900 Silver First Communion Medal Religious Pendant
From France and dating to the late 1800s may I offer this nicely sized round silver medal, charm or pendant depicting children receiving First Communion at an altar; at the bottom of the pendant is the wording "1ere Communion". At the back, a Dove of Peace (Holy Spirit) and an open banner section that has not been engraved! Condition is excellent with a great patina to the silver and no dents/dings. The "strike" to the medal is extremely fine - VERY detailed! You won't be unhappy with this piece of silver!
Metal Content: Being French, either 800 or 900 silver, there is one French poincon at the top of the bale denoting silver content.
Size: 1-1/8" high/wide not including the top bale.
Weight: 2.9 grams
Final Comments: Finding religious french medals that ARE NOT engraved is hard. Don't let this beauty pass on by - the likes of this piece will never be seen again!
