Vintage Modernist Sterling Silver 1.20CT TW Clear Gemstone Pierced Earrings Teardrop Earrings

Okay, the stones have me stumped! The setting is sterling silver and the earrings are gorgeous with their teardrop shape, but the stones? Oh boy. They test as a genuine "something" on my Presidium, and they sparkle like diamonds but the needle on my tester doesn't go to diamond. It stops in the Topaz area so your guess as to what gemstone it is is as good as mine. So I believe the stones are genuine but I just don't know what they are - white sapphire? crystal? topaz?

The earrings are for pierced ears and are posts with nuts. when worn on the ear the bottom teardrops as well as the enter dangles move freely and capture the light like, okay, diamonds!

Condition: Excellent with no problems I can spot.

Metal Content: Sterling Silver

Stones: Each earring holds 59 stones at about 1 point each. Total weight in gemstone is therefore about 1.20CT TW.

Hallmarks: 925 on the nuts and posts.

Size: From top square to bottom measures 1"; width is 9/16" at the bottom.

Weight: 3.8 grams

Final Comments: Gorgeous!
