Vintage Victorian Revival 14K Gold .06CT TW Diamond Drop Earrings Pierced Earrings
Dating to the 1970s or so, may I offer this pair of yellow gold earrings in the Victorian Revival manner and featuring a single diamond, held fast by claws in a buttercup setting, freely swinging within the open circle. The original earwires were screwbacks and were not only the ugliest earwires I had ever seen but broken in 2 places. I subbed GOLD FILLED hooks for pierced ears.
Condition: Excellent with no problems I can spot.
Metal Content: 14K GF earwires - 14K Gold drops
Hallmarks: 14KT GF on the earwires - 14KS on the back of each drop.
Size: The drops measure (without earwire) 15/16" long x 9/16" wide.
Diamonds: Each diamond measures 2mm (3 points). Total weigh in diamonds is therefore .06CT TW. Grading is SI1 with G-H color. Nice sparkly stones.
Weight: 4 grams combined
Final Comments: The beauty of these pieces is that if you want to change out the earwires to screwbacks or posts, all you need do is change out the finding with a twist of the jewelry pliers!
