Antique Art Nouveau French Savon Olgalia au Muguet Soap Label Lily of the Valley Cream Pink
Dating to the early 1900s or so, may I offer this very large French label that would have been used to cover a bar of soap - well, maybe a box that contained the bar of soap - it's hard to say. The label is from Paris and was manufactured during La Belle Epoque. With a design to the cream background, the main visual feast is the center, a lovely amalgam of white Lily of the Valley and pink ribbon. The soap was manufactured for Victor Vaissier and the label is entitled Savon Olgalia au Muguet.
Condition: Excellent with no tears, etc. Coloring is slightly darker than what shows in the scan. In other words, you'll gasp when you see in person! Chromo labels are ALWAYS the best!
Hallmarks: Made for Victor Vaissier, Paris. France.
Size: 7-5/8" x 5-13/16". Design at center from wording to bottom wording is about 2-1/2" x 2-1/4".
Final Comments: Stunning!
FURTHER NOTE: I can put an awful lot of paper into one envelope so be assured, if you buy more than 1 piece of paper, I will adjust the postage once I receive the purchase order. And please, don’t pay until I HAVE revised the postage. Thanks.
