Vintage Retro Modern Mid Century Modernist Native American 10K Gold Turquoise Ring
Dating to the 1960s/1970s or so, may I offer this Native American Southwest Indian ring fashioned from gold and featuring 2 oval cabs of turquoise. The design is a lengthy one and as you can see by the photos, the shank is split.
Condition: Very nice with no problems I can spot. One turquoise cab is quite perfect while the other shows either a natural pock mark or perhaps, a slight abrasion. I really cannot say with any certainty.
Metal Content: 10K Gold
Hallmarks: None, as is the norm with Native American jewelry that was manufactured on the reservation. Most Indian goldsmiths could not afford a hallmark/carat stamp in the old days. Metal was gently acid tested for content.
Size: Ring size is 4-1/2. The top design measures 1-7/16" north/south; east/west measures 7/16" at the widest point.
Weight: 7 grams an a bit
Final Comments: A real statement ring!
Even if not marked as such, offers are always welcome on any item in my shop. Buy with Confidence, Robins Nest Midwest has the highest rating attainable on RL.
