Antique Edwardian 14K Gold Diamond Black Onyx Mourning Pin Crescent Moon Forget Me Not Oval Brooch
Dating to the early 1900s, may I offer this bright yellow gold pin featuring a thick cab of black onyx at the center upon which has been placed a crescent moon holding 2 modern cut faceted diamonds. Surrounding the onyx is a edge of gold which includes a floral design which I take to be Forget Me Nots. In short, I believe the pin is a mourning pin that reminded a lady of a deceased loved one. Old fashioned safety catch at the back to hold the pinstem in place.
