Vintage Art Deco Sterling Silver Moonstone Marcasite Black Onyx Link Bracelet Engraved Underside
Dating to the 1930s or so, may I offer this Art Deco link bracelet that is just (as far as I am concerned) a work of art. With large links, the bracelets features alternating black onyx and moonstone cabs separated by bars of faceted marcasites. Tongue in catch with a safety chain (no clasp) for added security.
Condition: Very fine but there is 1 marcasite missing on one of the bars, also, where you push the clasp down, the marcasite on the underside shows the wear of the silver hitting the stone for so many years. Also, the moonstone that covers the clasp, you can actually see through the stone to see the silver. The safety chain has no clasp - the chain simply sits on 2 rings.
Metal Content: Sterling Silver
Size: Entire length is 7-1/2"; wearable length is 7". Width of the links is 5/8". Size of the moonstone cabs is 9/16" wide x 13/16" long. The onyx cabs measure 5/8" wide x 13/16" long.
Weight: 29.8 grams
Final Comments: A wonderful piece that might possibly be German but is definitely European.
