Antique Edwardian Art Nouveau Sterling Silver Corsage Pin by William B Kerr Monogram L to the Front
Dating to the early 1900s may I offer this silver corsage pin by William B Kerr. The piece is a fairly simple Greek Key design with the initial L in a lovely script at the center. Nice long "prong" at the back of the pin to hook into a flower and hold it fast. Can be used by man or woman on the lapel. Old fashioned safety catch at the back to hold the pin in place.
Condition: Very nice with a mellow patina to the silver - I have not polished.
Metal Content: Sterling Silver
Hallmarks: William Kerr Ax hallmark, Sterling, 5897 (Newark New Jersey Jewelers).
Size: Length is 2-11/16"; width at the front is 1/2" at the center.
Weight: 9.3 grams - not too thick, not too thin on the silver.
Final Comments: Hard to find in such nice condition and by THIS maker!
