Vintage Hand Carved European Mechanical Wooden Monkeys Decoration

Dating to the 1950s or so may I offer this hand carved wooden figurine or decoration of a pair of monkeys. I believe the piece is European, possibly from the Erzgebirge family. The decoration is slightly mechanical in that the top monkey swings from the single branch of the tree. Condition is very nice with no problems I can spot. Original price of $2.95 (written in pencil) is still at the bottom of the base.

Size: Stands 3-1/4" high; the base measures 1-3/4" x 11/16".
