Vintage Retro Modern Modernist Made in Japan Clay Face Chenille Santa Claus Decoration

Dating to the 1960s or so may I offer this adorable Made in Japan chenille Santa Claus ornament. With a clay face, this little fellow carries a chenille Christmas Tree. Gold cord for hanging. Condition is excellent - very fresh as the Santa was tucked inside a plastic bag for many years. I do notice that the hat is a different shade of chenille - looks like this piece might have had a repair at one time although nothing really shows.

Size: 3" x 1-3/4".

Final Comments: An adorably expressive face! Definitely not one of the usual chenille Santas you see these days.
