C.1934 Wallace Silversmiths Pie, Cake or Pastry Server with Original Plastic Sleeve
First produced in 1934, from Wallace Silversmiths, in the Rose Point pattern, may I offer a cake or pie server with a sterling handle and a stainless steel blade. The server is tarnished at the handle and comes in its original plastic sleeve. The sleeve has been opened, but I do not think the piece has ever been used - there are really no marks to speak of on the blade.
Condition: Again, a bit of tarnish - I did not polish for the photos. There are no major defects like dings, dents or ugly blemishes that might spoil the beauty of the silver. If a high shine is desired, all that’s needed is a polish.
Metal Content: Sterling Silver
Hallmarks: Sterling Handle on the side of the handle.
Size: Length on a straight line is 9-13/16"; width at the blade is 2-3/16".
Weight: 115 Grams
Final Comments: Beautiful!
NOTE: Because the item I am offering is from one of my consignors who "scraps" silver from customers seeking to upgrade their jewelry, I can and will beat anyone’s price on Ruby Lane. I want to turn over the silver inventory quickly so I can keep restocking my store with more. St. Louis was a boom city in the 1800s and the silver inventory here is legendary. For those who know, the 1904 World’s Fair held one of the largest competitions in silver design – all the big maker names of the day competed and a lot of the winning pieces stayed in St. Louis after the Fair ended. So keep watching my listings, I never know what I am going to have week to week – all I know is it will be varied, fabulous and deserving of a good home.
Buy with Confidence. Robins Nest Midwest has the highest rating a shop can attain on Ruby Lane.
International Delivery: Please contact me PRIOR to placing an order to see if I can ship to your country. If I can, I will quote postal rates at that time.
