Late Victorian Antique Sterling Silver Etched Bracelet with Monogram MED
Dating to the late 1800s and from a country other than England (but with the same type of hallmarks) may I offer an adjustable cuff bracelet of lightweight silver that has been nicely etched on the top. Within the shield at the center of the design, there is a monogram of MED in lovely script lettering. Closure is "buckle like" with 3 notches for adjustability.
Condition: Well, I didn't polish the bracelet so there is a light film of tarnish. While I was able to catch some detail in the piece, believe me, the piece looks 10 times better in person. The silver is a nice light weight so it is slightly flexible and it feels like you are wearing a feather on your wrist.
Metal Content: Sterling Silver
Hallmarks: Near the last notch on the inside of the bracelet "(Acorn Mark) (STG) (Hammer and Mallet?) (an O with a line through it)."
Size: Outside size is 8" but the first notch looks like it is at the 7-3/4" mark. Width, north/south, at the top center of the bracelet is 1-1/8" at the widest point.
Weight: 10.9 grams
Final Comments: A fabulous antique bracelet!
