Vintage Estate Retro Modern Modernist 14K Yellow Gold Purple Topaz Diamond Pendant
Dating to the 1980s or so may I offer this estate find - a simple yellow gold pendant featuring a purple hued Topaz (tested) and a single diamond accent. The purple stone has a hue like Tanzanite and flashes just the same, so you can imagine my surprise when my Presidium jumped from Tanzanite to Topaz! Interesting design with 2 sets of openings at the back so that you can hang the pendant 2 different ways. Condition is excellent with no problems I can spot.
Metal Content: 14K Gold with a hallmark of EG 14K on the reverse
Size: 11/16" high x 9/16" wide with a weight of 2.4 grams.
Gemstones: The Topaz is a trillion cut and measures 6.25mm x 6.25mm (75 Points); the flash to the piece is incredible. The diamond measures about 2 mm (2 points); color is G-H, SI1 clarity. Total gemstone weight to the pendant is about .77CT TW. Note: Trillion cuts make a stone appear larger than they are - therefore, this pendant really does look like it contains a stone of about 1 Carat in size.
Final Comments: Just needs the right chain - mine is for display purposes only.
