Antique Edwardian 14K GOLD Pendant - Amethyst Paste, Natural, Cultured, Pearl
Age: C.1901 or so
Item: In a pale gold, sometimes looking like yellow and sometimes looking like rose, here's a pendant or negligee lavaliere featuring a faceted round amethyst paste (no, not genuine) at the center bordered by natural pearls. At the bottom is a bulbous freshwater cultured pearl, a replacement for the broken pearl that was found at the bottom. Original bale is present.
Condition: Other than the replaced pearl, excellent!
Metal Content: 14K Gold
Hallmarks: None that I can find - metal was gently acid tested for content.
Size: From top of bale to bottom of pearl measures 1-5/8"; width at the round is just under 3/4".
Amethyst Paste: Measures 6.5mm (1 Carat). The natural pearls measure 1.8mm to 2mm.
Weight: 2.5 grams
Final Comments: Just needs the right chain - mine is for display purposes only.
