Vintage Kirk Stieff Sterling Silver Repousse 2-Prong Relish Pick Lemon Pick
Dating to the 1900s or so, may I offer this 2-tine silver relish pick - cocktail pick - lemon pick featuring a repousse top, multi florals; the predominant flower to the back is Chrysanthemum while to the front, daisies, roses and again, chrysanthemums. The back of the pick is engraved with the initials AMH. The pattern is possibly CHRYSANTHEMUM by Kirk Stieff Silversmiths but I am not sure.
CONDITION: Very nice with no problems I can spot other than maybe a light polishing being needed (I polish only enough to get a good photo).
METAL CONTENT: Sterling Silver
HALLMARKS: STERLING cross wise near the monogram - Sterling 925 on the lower neck just above the start of the prongs.
SIZE: 4-13/16" long - width is a little over 1/2" at the tines.
WEIGHT: 13.8 grams
FINAL COMMENTS: When I can, I will beat anyone’s price on RL. I want to turn over the silver inventory quickly so I can keep loading in more. St. Louis was a boom city in the 1800s and the silver inventory here is legendary. For those who know, the 1904 World’s Fair held one of the largest competitions in silver – all the big makers names of the day competed and a lot of the winning pieces stayed in St. Louis after the Fair ended. So keep watching my listings, I never know what I am going to have week to week – all I know is it will be varied, fabulous and deserving of a good home.
