I GUARANTEE everything I sell to be as described - each treasure having been vetted by not only me, but usually by a second and third party. In purchasing an item from my store, I want the buyer to be completely satisfied with all aspects of the transaction. If a Buyer is unhappy with any item from my shop, just send it back for a refund - but please honor my terms of returning the item within 3 days of receipt. If an item is returned more than 14 days from time of receipt, with no explanation or prior correspondence, I reserve the right to refuse the return.

I understand that purchasing an item over the Internet is still a relatively new experience for most people and not "holding it in your hand" is of the greatest concern. Needless to say, I have an extremely critical eye in finding the item in the first place. I don't like "surprises" nor do I want my customer to find them. My reputation matters so I want you to be 100% satisfied with your new purchase.

If purchaser has a Retail Sales Tax Number, the number must be provided to Ruby Lane before placing a purchase order. Ruby Lane can take up to 5 days to process a tax number.

REGULAR BUSINESS HOURS/PAYPAL:

If purchasing an item from my store during regular business hours - payment is due within 3 days of purchase. If no payment is received during this time period, transaction will be cancelled and the item relisted.

SPOTLIGHT SALE/RED TAG SALE HOURS/PAYPAL:

If purchasing an item from my store during a SPOTLIGHT or RED TAG SALE - payment is due within 3 HOURS of purchase - no exception. If payment is NOT received during this time period, transaction will be cancelled and the item relisted. The original buyer is free to purchase the item again, but payment would be due immediately. My buyers understand that if an item is marked SOLD and then becomes AVAILABLE, it's like catnip screaming "get me now or lose forever."

REFUNDS:

If a return is made, the refund will be less the outgoing postage/insurance.

Shipping, Handling, Insurance Policy

Shipping is done as quickly as possible but please allow at least 2-3 days for processing your purchase. If your purchase is from a Ruby Lane Red Tag Sale week, please allow 3-5 days for processing. Sometimes an emergency will crop up that I must contend with - family or even the weather. In advance, I apologize for any delay - It is not intentional, I assure you. If I am on vacation I will notify buyer of this fact at time of purchase. Each individual listing shows either (1) postage/insurance cost or (2) Free Shipping/Free Insurance. On a larger package within the United States (usually an item as opposed to a piece of jewelry), the postage rate will be calculated according to weight; insurance is mandatory on any item $101 and over. The new USPS Ground Advantage rate (7/12/23) includes insurance up to $100 on a package. For packages traveling outside the United States, rates will be quoted once a Purchase Order has been submitted. I can ship internationally but only to certain countries and it most likely will be VERY expensive - please inquire. Currently CANADA is $31 Priority International for up to $200 in value. Another $20 will purchase another $200 of insurance. Should any item fail to meet with your approval, the item shall be returned at buyer's expense. However, if the item is being returned due to a fault in the item that I failed to notice and mention in the listing, I will refund not only the original postage but the cost of postage laid out to return the item to me. If I have offered FREE SHIPPING/INSURANCE on an item and that item is returned, the refund given shall be LESS the original cost of shipping/insurance I paid to send the item. I must recoup this cost somehow and it is offered in the hope that the item is kept and not returned. I am a dealer/owner and not a regular retail outlet where I can send items ON APPROVAL for free to effect a "look see or try-on". Return of any item must be in the same condition as when received, and must include delivery or signature confirmation, as well as insurance for the amount of purchase. Once I have received the item, a refund will be promptly made (less Free Shipping/Insurance as mentioned above and/or original outbound postage/insurance) via the method in which it was paid, i.e., PAYPAL for PAYPAL.
