ANTIQUE EDWARDIAN 14K Gold "Double Bookchain" Link Bracelet!
Welcome to ROBINS NEST MIDWEST! May I offer for your consideration....
AGE: Dated 1911
ITEM: A rose gold gem of a bracelet! Featuring a "double book chain" look, this link bracelet has a clasp that closes to the front with a tongue-in latch. The catch beads a bit of engraving on the top and a shield that is plain and upon which can be engraved the new owners initials. There are two small "attached" rings to the bracelet that currently hold a safety chain that doesn't quite suit the look of the bracelet. The chain is a little too thick and I think the two jump rings would be better suited to 2 charms rather than a safety chain, but it's buyer's discretion.
CONDITION: Excellent with no problems I can spot. Links are fluid and the feel of the bracelet is absolutely scrumptious!
METAL CONTENT: 14K Gold
HALLMARKS: Attached right to the front of the bracelet is a small disc that reads "14KI*CIKES 1911." There is also a 14K mark at the back of the bracelet.
SIZE: Length from end to end is 8-3/16"; wearable length appears to be 7-7/8". I don't currently have the bracelet with me but width is about 3/4". Yep, finally a nicely sized bracelet!
WEIGHT: A hefty 31.1 grams!
FINAL COMMENTS: You don't find them like this anymore. I mean, what more could you want - hefty gold content, a date of manufacture and a look that is pure vintage!
