VICTORIAN Trade Card for St. Bernard Coffee & Spice Mills, Chicago - Little Girl Pouring Coffee!
Welcome to ROBINS NEST MIDWEST!
Both Art and I love paper and with Art’s collection from the past 50 years and my collection from the last 30 years, we have a lot of ephemera to offer on Ruby Lane. It is going to take some time to get it all listed, but when we finish, there should be something to tempt anyone who visits the shop. Up for offer now…..
AGE: C.1890 or so
ITEM: A Victorian era trade card for St. Bernard Coffee & Spice Mills, Chicago. The graphic to the front depicts a young girl pouring coffee into a cup. The coffee urn reads "St. Bernard Mills Standard Coffee." Back is plain.
CONDITION: Very nice front - maybe a very light touch of ink having come from the scrapbook I found the piece in. Light edge rub to the top left. Back shows a light water/ink stain at the bottom right - some light browning to the back due to old age.
NOTE: The cards always look better in person than in my scans/photos.
PUBLISHERS INFORMATION: Shober & Cargueville, Lith Co, Chicago
SIZE: 2-11/16" x 4-9/16"
FINAL COMMENTS: Cute graphics!
FURTHER NOTE: I can put an awful lot of paper into one envelope so be assured, if you buy more than 1 piece of paper, I will adjust the postage once I receive the purchase order. And please, don’t pay until I HAVE revised the postage. Thanks.
