VICTORIAN Trade Card for Ayer's Almanach - B&W Engraving - The Invention of Printing
Welcome to ROBINS NEST MIDWEST!
Both Art and I love paper and with Art’s collection from the past 50 years and my collection from the last 30 years, we have a lot of ephemera to offer on Ruby Lane. It is going to take some time to get it all listed, but when we finish, there should be something to tempt anyone who visits the shop. Up for offer now…..
PRICE OF THE CARD IS $3 SO PLEASE MAKE YOUR OFFER FOR THAT AMOUNT
AGE: C.1890 or so
ITEM: A Victorian era trade card for (I think) Ayer;s Almanach. The front engraving shows two men over a type set machine, the one gent holding a paper that reads Ayer's Almanach. The caption at the bottom of the card is The Invention of Printing. Plain back.
CONDITION: Very nice with no problems I can spot.
NOTE: The cards always look better in person than in my scans/photos.
PUBLISHERS INFORMATION: None.
SIZE: 2-3/4" x 4-3/16"
FINAL COMMENTS: Interesting card.
FURTHER NOTE: I can put an awful lot of paper into one envelope so be assured, if you buy more than 1 piece of paper, I will adjust the postage once I receive the purchase order. And please, don’t pay until I HAVE revised the postage. Thanks.
Buy with Confidence. ROBINS NEST MIDWEST has the highest rating a shop can attain on Ruby Lane.
