Pr of VINTAGE Japan Trade Center Paper Fans on a Stick
Welcome to ROBINS NEST MIDWEST! May I offer….
AGE: More than likely 1964 - from the Japanese pavilion at the Worlds Fair.
ITEM: A pair of paper fans on a stick featuring a Japanese mother and child, the mother holding a small rattle in her hand. The lady has GOOGLY eyes that move back and forth when the fan is shaken. The fan appears to be a souvenir or give-a-way from the Tokyo Trade Center of Japan via the New York Worlds Fair.
CONDITION: Very nice, very clean with just a couple of light marks that I don't think even shows in the photo, they are that invisible!
HALLMARKS: Made in Japan on the back.
SIZE: Length of the fan is about 12-1/2". Fan portion at the top measures 4-5/8" x 5".
FINAL COMMENTS: Just adorable!
