Vintage STERLING SILVER & Recon Turquoise Drop Earrings
Welcome to ROBINS NEST MIDWEST! May I offer….
AGE: C.1960 or so
ITEM: A pair of Native American/ Southwest Indian silver and reconstructed turquoise earrings for pierced ears. With a bit of a hollow silver design above and below the cab, the findings are shepherd hooks with a nice ball of silver at the bottom.
CONDITION: Very nice with a dark patina to the silver. Recon turquoise is basically the powder left over from cutting turquoise and then combining it with resin to form a mix that can be shaped into cabs and used in souvenir jewelry. The stone is still turquoise just not natural.
METAL CONTENT: Sterling Silver
HALLMARKS: 925 JFG on the back of each earring
SIZE: From top of ball to bottom measures 1-1/4"; width is a little over 1/4".
WEIGHT: 2.2 grams combined
FINAL COMMENTS: Ready to wear!
