ITEM: Found in France, here's a gold tone, maybe more brass tone than gold, religious medal featuring the Virgin Mary to the front (Miraculous Medal) and Jesus among children to the back. At the bottom where Jesus stands are written AFRICA and ASIA. I think this medal is meant to represent missionaries bringing Christianity to these regions.

Around the edge of the front o f the medal reads " Virgo Maria ora pro Nobis et pro Miseris Parvulis Infidelibus"; the back reads " Sinitie Parvulos Venire Ad Me - Sancta Enfantia".

CONDITION: Excellent!

METAL CONTENT: Gold Tone/Brass

HALLMARKS: None I can spot.

SIZE: 11/16" high/wide

WEIGHT: 1.2 grams
