Edwardian FRENCH SILVERPLATE Necklace Slider Latch - Joan of Arc Front
Welcome to ROBINS NEST MIDWEST! May I offer….
AGE: C.1910 or so
ITEM: From France, a silverplate necklace latch (nope, not a slider as it does not move up and down) that can be placed on any chain necklace. The back fold-up mechanisms allow a chain to easily fit through be it thick or thin, the the mechanisms are moved down to "tighten" the hold onto the chain. The piece stays put and NEVER moves!
CONDITION: Excellent with a good strike to the design.
METAL CONTENT: Silverplate over base metal, possibly brass.
HALLMARKS: None that I can spot.
SIZE: 13/16" high/wide
WEIGHT: 1.6 grams
FINAL COMMENTS: Ready to be used once more!
