Vintage Native American/Southwest STERLING SILVER & Red Coral Cuff Bracelet
Welcome to ROBINS NEST MIDWEST! May I offer….
AGE: C.1960 or so
ITEM: In a Native American/Southwest Indian design, here's a silver cuff bracelet featuring some applied silverwork along with a center red coral cab.
CONDITION: Excellent with a dark patina to the silver.
METAL CONTENT: Sterling Silver
HALLMARKS: None, as is the norm with early Native American jewelry. There is a marking of RR14 on a paper tag attached to the back of the cuff. Metal was acid tested for content and came out at a sterling level.
SIZE: Inside width is 2-3/8". Height from underside of the cuff to back of gap measures 1-3/4"; gap measures 1-11/16". Width of the silver at the top of the cuff, north/south is 1"; width at the back of the cuff is 3/16". I can get the cuff on my size 7 wrist but the gap is much too big for me. I'd say this piece would suit a size 6; the silver is malleable enough to form the cuff to a wrist.
WEIGHT: 22.5 grams
FINAL COMMENTS: Well designed and just a treat on the wrist!
