ART DECO Bronze Medal - Award for a Long Distance Runner
Welcome to ROBINS NEST MIDWEST! May I offer….
AGE: C.1930 or so
ITEM: From France, the Art Deco era to be precise, here's a pale bronze colored medal that depicts a single runner to the front. At the top is a bushy tree with it's trunk rooted at the base of the medal. The piece looks to have been an award medal but there is no engraving at the back.
CONDITION: Very nice with no problems I can spot.
METAL CONTENT: Bronze? Bronze colored metal?
HALLMARKS: ERAIKE to the left of the runner. Most likely the sculptor name. I could find no info on this person.
SIZE: From top (not including jump ring) to bottom measures 1-3/8" x 15/16".
WEIGHT: 7.6 grams
FINAL COMMENTS: Ready to be used!
