Dated 1882 FRENCH SILVER First Communion Medal or Pendant

AGE: Dated 1882
ITEM: From France, a small, round silver medal, charm or pendant depicting children receiving First Communion at an altar; at the bottom of the pendant is the wording "1e Communion". At the back, a Dove of Peace (Holy Spirit) and an open banner section that has been engraved with the initials of the original owner (GCB) and the date of Communion (30 Avril 1882).
CONDITION: Excellent with a great patina to the silver and no dents/dings.
METAL CONTENT: Being French, either 800 or 900 silver.
HALLMARKS: One French poincon at the top of the bale denoting silver content and country of manufacture.
SIZE: About 7/8" high/wide approx.
WEIGHT: 1.6 grams - yes, this is a thin silver medal and not thick
