Mid Century Peruzzi Made in Italy Italian Sterling Silver Link Necklace - Angels with the Symbols of Venice
Dating anywhere from the late 1940s to late 1950s, may I offer this Italian Sterling Silver (hallmarked as pictured) link necklace by Peruzzi. The necklace features angel links along with different panels that I believe represent the symbols of Venice, Genoa or Florence. There's a city shield, a Lion, a Fleur de Lis, a Knight with Shield, a Patrician, another Lion (different shield), a town shield, the wrapped Infant Jesus and an Angel or Putti. Length of the necklace is a SHORT 14-1/4" - to lengthen you will have to add chain at the back near the closure; hook and eye clasp. Width of the panels is 11/16" to 7/8" approx. Weight is 39 grams. Well cast piece with nice details. Vintage patina! It's a rare find to find a complete necklace from Peruzzi!
