Mid Century Modernist Made in Italy Italian 29" Murano Glass Millefleur Necklace - Graduated Round Beads

Dating to the 1960s/1970s or so, may I offer this stunning 29" Murano glass bead necklace from Italy possibly made by Moretti (NO HALLMARK). Composed of round glass millefiori - millefleur (thousand flowers) beads, the necklace features a gold colored barrel clasp closure. The beads range in size from 6,5mm to 16mm. Condition of the necklace is perfect with end caps to each round bead and a small glass seed bead set between the mosaic ones. Gorgeous high color to the glass and in my opinion, one of the finest costume necklaces I have ever found. Absolutely stunning!

ERCOLE MORETTI was established in 1911 with the intention of producing two classic types of Venetian glass beads - the “Rosetta” and the mosaic *Millefiori*. Right from the very start, Moretti Brothers (yes, there were 3) developed a line of "thousand flower" beads that immediately stood out above all other makers. The even execution of the molded glass, the vibrant colors and the unusual and unmistakable finish spoke volumes of the artistry of the company. I believe the necklace on offer now is from the House of Moretti.
