C.1890 Nursery Book - Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe - New York Publisher
Welcome to ROBINS NEST MIDWEST! May I offer….
AGE: C.1890 or so
ITEM: From Charles E. Graham & Co, Newark, N.J. and New York, comes this 012 Cut Out Series booklet featuring a high color chromolithographic cover - Old Woman Who Lived in a Shoe! The book is a collection of Mother Goose rhymes and features some very nice illustrations on the inside though they are not in color. The rhymes include - There Was An Old Woman who Lived in a Shoe, Here Am I, I had a Little Husband, A Dillar A Dollar, The Queen of Hearts and Taffy Was a Welshman.
CONDITION: Very nice with a touch of paper missing out of the cap of the Old Woman (front and back cover and the back page only) and maybe just a tiny bit of edge wear. The staples to the booklet have discolored a smidge so the area of the page near the staple has a touch of black.
SIZE: When closed, 4-3/4" x 6-3/4".
FINAL COMMENTS: If you collect nursery items or vintage illustrations (the Queen of Hearts ones are particularly nice) then this is a book to add to your collection!
