The pin features a safety catch at the back to hold the pinstem in place.
CONDITION: Excellent with a mellow patina to the silver.

FINAL COMMENTS: Most collectors of jewelry by Jensen USA know the story of how Jensen Denmark sent salesmen to New York City to sell their wares and how, after World War II broke out, that the store remained open to cater to the jewelry needs of New York women. Alphonse La Paglia was one of the artisans employed with the firm and, even though NOT sanctioned by Jensen Denmark, his designs sold well in the US. While Jensen Denmark deemed the designs NOT to be of Denmark quality, few collectors will argue that La Paglia's designs were not without merit; after all, from Jensen USA he went to work for International Sterling before, within his first year, dying due to complications of an accident at home.
