Vintage Sterling Silver & Paua Shell Drop Earrings on Original Card

AGE: C.1980 or so
ITEM: A pair of silver earrings for pierced ears, (hypoallergenic posts with nuts), featuring Paua Shell (the New Zealand equivalent of Abalone) inserts. The coloring of the shell is bright turquoise green and is quite lovely. The earrings are still attached to their original sales card from Sunrise Silver.
CONDITION: Very nice - unused as you can see.
METAL CONTENT: The drops are STERLING SILVER. The earwires are hypoallergenic.
HALLMARKS: STERLING ®WMo on the back of the drops
SIZE: From top of ball to bottom measures 1-1/8"; width is 3/8".
WEIGHT: 6.5 grams with the plastic holder - I did not separate the earrings to weigh them.
FINAL COMMENTS: Pāua is the Māori name given to marine gastropod molluscs which belong to the family Haliotidae (there is only genus Haliotis), known in the United States and Australia as abalone, and in the United Kingdom as ormer shells.
