Vintage Mid Century Native American Sterling Silver Natural Turquoise Drop Earrings Pierced Earrings
Dating to the 1960s/1970s or so, here's a pair of teardrop shaped drop earrings that are Native American - Southwest Indian in style and design. Featuring an oval cab of natural turquoise at the bottom, the findings to the earrings are shepherd hooks with a large center concave round to the front. Because the wires are pinched to hold the ear drop, the findings can be swapped out for another pair - screwbacks or the like. From top of round to bottom of drop measures about 1-1/2"; width is 9/16". Combined weight is 10.5 grams the pair. Terrific condition with no problems I can spot. No hallmarks - these are early earrings and most Native Americans of the day could not afford the cost of a government sanction STERLING stamp.
