This 4 inch long silver spoon commemorates the visit of George and Mary to Canada in 1901. Portraits of the Duke and Duchess of Cornwall and York appear in raised relief in the bowl. The enamel on the handle is intact, and commemorates the reign of Edward VII. The Duke of Cornwall would go on to reign as George V after the death of his father, Edward. The tour of the Empire, which included the stop in Canada, was one of George's first public duties. Marked "Sterling" on the back. 12 grams.
