A classic Victorian piece here, c. 1880. The piece appears to have a gilt or rolled gold plate finish, no hallmarks or markings of any kind. The Etruscan revival inspired locket measures about 1 1/8" x 3/4" and features a hardstone cameo. Interior of locket appears to have never been used, with 2 inserts in different colors. The chain measures 17 1/2" to the catch. The drop suspended from the catch is about 2 1/2" long, including the locket. The chain is about 3/8" wide. Front finish of the piece is good, with some discoloration to the back of the chain and locket. I have made no cleaning attempts at all on this piece.
