These teaspoons from Gorham are from one of their more exciting, and confusing patterns. The Fountainbleu pattern was offered in 20 different motifs, all designed by F. Antoine Heller. They are all marked Sterling, with Gorham marks, and some have an additional retailer mark, Schopperle. This retailer operated in Titusville, Pennsylvania, birthplace of the American Oil Industry and site of the first commercial oilwell. There is a little variance in wear, making me think 6 of the spoons pre-date the others or saw more use..Overall very good condition for age. I have shown about the worst of the bowls, with some dark pitting.
