This 1934 Whitman Publishing Company Big Little Book was an early example of their licensed Disney works, which started in 1933. Author Webb Smith was later known for his screenwriting on Disney's 'Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs' and 'Pinnochio'. Floyd Gottfredson started working on Mickey illustrations when Mickey was only 4 months old and is considered to be the artist that created Mickey as we know him.
The original version of this book appeared in syndicated comic strips from November 12, 1932 to February 10, 1933. The cover also features Horace Horsecollar, a greatly under rated Disney character.
