This Woodsy-Wee Zoo set is one of the first 16 toys produced by Fisher-Price toys. The 5 animals are designed to link together like train cars, as a small pull toy. Four of the five animals are in very good condition; however, the back leg of the lion in broken, with the bead wheel missing. The giraffe is missing the connecting rod from the back of the base. The box shows wear, with some loss in an area where it appears that a beaded wheel on one of the animals broke the surface of the box. Box measures about 10 1/2 x 9 x1 3/4 inches. The tallest of the animals is the giraffe, at about 5 1/2 inches tall. The bead wheels are slightly over 1/2 inch in diameter. All animals were intended to have 4 bead wheels, except the bear, which only has the one pair of wheels.
I have taken the condition into consideration with my pricing. The set could date as early as 1931, when Fisher-Price started, and this set was designed by Margaret Evans Price.
