Small bank by George Brown from the mid-19th century. It measures about 4 inches by 2 3/8 inches. It has a discernible 'Waste Not' motto stenciled on it, along with additional stencil work. The pieces were known for their stenciled designs, and Brown failed to convert to the lithographic printing used on tin toys from the 1880s on, and the firm did not seem to last too much longer then that period.
A little rough, as these pieces usually are, with paint loss around coin slot and on lower right corner. SLight scratch top finish on back, along with a drop of red paint or color.
