A rarity here. The cufflinks are on the original jewelers card, with price, and date from the first decade or so of the 20th century.
The gold tone links have a ovaled rectangular plate which has a stamped pattern with some hand engraved highlights. The plate measures about 3/4" x 3/8". There is about 1/2' slack area between plate and ball end.
These have some dark discoloration in the areas where they were originally soldered together, all concealed in wear. There is a totally indecipherable mark on the shaft of the links, which I have attempted to show. It may be letters, perhaps C's. O's, or U's.
