These mint and carded Kramer earrings date from the 1960's. The combination of round and baguette foilback rhinestones make a classic look. Rhinestones are in very good condition, with a few very minor spots not noticeable to the naked eye in wear. The rhinestones are prong set. Finish is excellent. They measure about 3/4" long and 5/8" wide. The non-pierced screwbacks are marked "Kramer".
The card announces they are part of The Diamond Look by Kramer.
I recently uncovered a box of costume beads which had been stored about 25 to 30 years ago, and was pleased to find about 30 mint and unused Kramer pieces. Many were carded, and the majority seem to be 1960’s production, when Kramer was promoting their Diamond Look line. Kramer produced pieces from 1943 to 1980 and were well known for their mimicry of fine diamond jewelry using quality rhinestones. Marks included Kramer of NY, Kramer of NY City, and Kramer, sometimes on an oval plaque. They also appear to have made a number of unmarked pieces.
Item will be shipped insured first class, for domestic customers, in a padded envelope, packed in a cotton filled nest box, which will have a layer of bubble wrap around it. I will gladly combine shipping and have a number of other Kramer pieces listed, for a coordinated look.
